A favorite verse of mine
What's one of yours?
Hey Kids,
If the Bible comes straight from the Creator of the universe, preserved for ages, even translated for our ease, then it’s worth diving into.
Since I grasped God's grace, the Bible's taken on a whole new life for me. I used to see it like a car manual — handy when you need it, but kinda dry otherwise.
I can't pick a favorite verse; there are just too many gems! I always warn against cherry-picking verses; they lose their meaning out of context. But here's one I love:
"But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift." - Ephesians 4:7
Read it slow. Think about what Paul's saying. I've read it before, but it hit me differently recently.
Paul was talking to Christians in Ephesus, but I think it applies to us today. We've all been given grace, freely. Not earned. Given. That's beautiful.
And get this — it's not just a bit of grace. It's not just enough. It's more than we could ever deserve. It is so huge it can only be compared to Christ’s gift itself. It's immeasurable!
I love knowing this about Jesus. Don't you? Do you have a verse to share with me?
Love,
Dad
