My child,
do you ever wonder if you matter? Would the world miss you if you weren’t here? And how could you be valuable, when the world is so big, and you are so small and insignificant by comparison?
Maybe you won’t be surprised to hear me say that you are precious. But there’s more to it than what I think. Much more.
Some people like to say that since the universe is so big and so vast it means we are nothing, just star dust. I think there is a better way to think about this. Sure, the universe is mind boggling, even our own planet is beyond comprehension. But these are created things. And the Creator says you are valuable. You are precious. He loves you, He knows you, and He wants to spend eternity with you, His creation.
Me too.
Love,
Dad
