What does salvation mean?
My child,
Salvation means being saved and getting to be with God forever. But according to the Bible, the only way to get this salvation is through Jesus Christ. He said in John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This means Jesus is the only path to God and to eternal life.
In the New Testament, it's repeated over and over again that salvation is only found in Jesus. Acts 4:12 says, "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." This verse makes it clear that Jesus is the one and only Savior, and there's no other way to fix our relationship with God.
But this doesn't mean God is being mean or unfair. It's actually a huge act of love from God. Jesus came and died on the cross to pay for our mistakes, so we could be forgiven and get close to God again. All we have to do is believe in Jesus, and we'll receive the amazing gift of salvation and eternal life.
Love,
Dad
